Guardia Civil detained two people for making chocolate cakes with “magic mushrooms”


In an operation called “SATZ” the Guardia Civil in the province of Valencia detained two people who were making chocolate cakes using hallucinogenic mushrooms.


The investigation began after the police located a person suspected of selling the drug in Tavernes of the Valldigna (Valencia).


The agents carried out a search at his home address where 43 plants of marihuana were seized, 100 grams of marihuana that was prepared for sale, as well as diverse materials used for the preparation and commercialization of this narcotic substance.


Later, in another search in the Valencian municipality of Algemesi, the agents found 110 plants of marihuana, 178 hallucinogenic mushrooms and €3,500 in notes of different denominations.


They then searched the home of the proprietor of a garden centre, where they seized 500 grams of dry marijuana prepared for sale, precision scales and different materials for the preparation and sale of this drug, as well as €390 in different bank notes.


Two Spanish nationals aged 23 and 38 were detained following the investigation accused of illegal supply of drugs, drug trafficking and the illegal cultivation of narcotic substances.


The detained will appear before the Courts of Instruction nº 1 of Alzira and nº 6 of Sueca, located in the province of Valencia.
