Rincon de la Victorica Town Hall sit-in for new school

AN education pressure group has called for parents, teachers and students to stage a sit-in at Rincon de la Victoria Town Hall to demand a new secondary school.

They have been asked to take over the municipal building from 5pm today (Thursday) until tomorrow morning.

The Rincon de la Victoria Platform for Education wants a secondary school to be built in the Torre de Benagalbon area of the town to avoid crowded classrooms in the Bezmiliana secondary school, a matter they have been complaining about for years.

This is the first action to be taken this year asking for a new school.

Later last year, 3,000 people demonstrated along the Avenida del Mediterraneo to the Plaza de la Constitucion with the same goal.
