Andalucia is different. That’s the opinion of almost 95% of its citizens, according to a survey carried out by the Centre of Andalucian Studies.
They interviewed 1,000 locals and found that most people felt their region was not like the rest of Spain.
The main differences stated were the Andalucian character, defined as happy and sociable, the climate, and the geography of the area.
Less than 2% of those interviewed considered Andalucia to be different from the rest of Spain in economic terms.
Andalucians were generally pleased with their life here, giving the region 8.8 points in terms of overall satisfaction.
Nonetheless, 16% would consider going to live somewhere else.
