Officially mayor
THE investiture of the Mayor of Gibraltar, Adolfo Canepa, was held at City Hall. Mr Canepa, a former Chief Minister of Gibraltar, is also the Speaker of Parliament. This is the second time he has been appointed Mayor.
Gaining experience
Royal Gibraltar Police Officers have been helping to police football games in the UK in preparation for the day that Gibraltar hosts its own international matches.
Mystery death
Police are investigating the death of a 51-year-old Belarusian resident of Spain in St Bernard’s Hospital. It was claimed he was poisoned and he was admitted several weeks ago after treatment in Spain.
