€800,000 invested in Axarquia beaches over the last three years


THE Central Government in Spain has invested a total of €808,769 in improvements to the Axarquia beaches over the last three years, according to information presented by the councillorof Torrox Town Hall, María Baena.


The biggest expenditure has been aimed at the four largest tourist towns, Nerja, Torrox, Véléz-Málaga and Rincon de la Victoria, with the majority (€369,316) going to Véléz-Málaga.


The investment from the Central Government along the Axarquia coastline, reaffirms the importance of tidying up and cleaning the beaches in the province in order to optimise tourism along the eastern part of the Costa del Sol.
