Guardia Civil have detained four people for committing robbery with violence at a number of local shops and businesses.
The operation began with the interception of a suspect vehicle in Churriana, following the driver´s attempts to take flight when stopped by the Guardia Civil in Alhaurin de la Torre.
On examining the contents of the car officers found a large number of stolen objects. These were later identified as the loot from a recent burglary at the Torremolinos Tennis Club.
Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of goods which had been stolen from five different establishments.
The booty included televisions, watches, clothing and household appliances, as well as a safe containing a quantity of cash.
Various articles which were used to commit the robberies were also uncovered.
