Juan Pablo Galavis is becoming one of the most hated "Bachelors" in the ABC reality show's history, as he wraps up his season without a proposal and a host of missteps. How did the other "Bachelors" fare? Let's take a look: 
Alex Michel and Amanda Marsh from season 1 dated almost a year before breaking up. He went on to become a "Romance and Proposal Expert" for Princess Cruises, and she became a registered nurse and a married mom. 
Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz split up five weeks after he proposed on season 2. He went on to marry another woman in 2009. Burge suffered some financial issues and declared bankruptcy in 2011. In 2013, Eksterowicz got engaged to consultant for IBM. 
Season 3 couple Andrew Firestone Jen Schefft got engaged, but ultimately found happiness with others. In 2013, Firestone announced that he and wife, model Ivana, were expecting their third child. Schefft went on to be "The Bachelorette" and in 2012 gave birth to her second child with husband Joe Waterman. 
Bob Guiney and Estella Gardinier appeared to find love on season 4 but it didn't last. He married - and then divorced - "All My Children" actress Rebecca Budig and according to his website co-hosts a show on Playboy radio. Gardinier went on to work in sales while living in San Diego. 
Jesse Palmer and Jessica Bowlin from season 5 were a cute couple, but broke up soon after the show ended. Palmer, a former pro-footballer, snagged a gig as a college football analyst with ESPN and Bowlin finished law school and became a lawyer. 
Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado managed to extend their relationship beyond season 6. The couple never married, but stayed together for five years despite Delgado being arrested for allegedly assaulting Velvick. Velvick, a pro bass fisherman, has continued to appear on fishing shows. Delgado found work as a real estate agent and in 2010 made headlines after being arrested on suspicion of DUI. 
Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice from season 7 dated for two years, broke up, then got back together before breaking up a final time in 2010. O'Connell has pursued an acting career and appeared in projects including the TV series "Femme Fatales." Brice is a married mom. 
Medical doctor Travis Stork and kindergarten teacher Sarah Stone fell for each other in season 8. Today Stork is a co-host on the show "The Doctors" and married pediatrician Charlotte Brown in 2012. Stone left the classroom for a career in real estate and is a married mother of two. 
Prince Lorenzo Borghese selected Jennifer Wilson during season 9. Like many before them, the pair did not last. Borghese traded on his reported relationship as a descendant of the brother-in-law of Napoleon Bonaparte to write a historical novel titled "The Princess of Nowhere." Wilson is said to have continued her career as a teacher. 
Season 10 ended in a proposal for Tessa Horst and Andy Baldwin, though the couple ended their engagement a month after the series finale and called off the relationship entirely a few months later. Baldwin, a U.S. Navy physician, still practices and does humanitarian work around the world. Horst married Tom Pickard in 2013. 
On season 11 Brad Womack pulled a first by deciding not to choose either DeAnna Pappas or Jenni Croft. Womack came back for another season, while Pappas became "The Bachelorette" for season 4 of that show before marrying Stephen Stagliano in 2011. The couple are expecting their first child in 2014. Croft married John Badolato and the pair welcomed a son in 2011. 
Matt Grant didn't win over fans during season 12 when he selected Shayne Lamas. He struck out for a career in Hollywood, eventually working as a photographer. Lamas married Nik Richie, co-founder of the celeb site TheDirty.com. In January 2014 the pair announced they were expecting their second child. 
Fans were rooting for Jason Mesnick when he chose Melissa Rycroft in season 13. But things took a strange twist: Mesnick confessed on air that he really wanted to be with runner-up Molly Malaney. Mesnick and Malaney married in 2010. In 2013, they added a daughter to their family, which also includes Mesnick's son from a previous relationship. Rycroft appeared on "Dancing With the Stars," did some reporting for "Good Morning America" and in 2009 married Tye Strickland. She gave birth to their daughter in 2011. 
Season 14 bachelor Jake Pavelka made one of the all-time most unpopular choices when he selected Vienna Girardi. Their relationship was short-lived. After a stint on "Dancing With the Stars," Pavelka briefly appeared on the soap "The Bold and the Beautiful." Girardi told Radar Online in 2013 that she was "single and really focusing on myself and my career." 
Brad Womack returned for season 15 where he proposed to Emily Maynard. The second time was not the charm and the couple soon split. It was reported in April 2013 that Womack was dating former "The Bachelor" contestant AshLee Frazier. Maynard became "The Bachelorette" where she found - then lost - love with that show's winner Jef Holm. In January 2014, Us Weekly reported Maynard planned to marry new fiance Tyler Johnson, whom she met at church, "soon." 
Ben Flajnik ended up with Courtney Robertson in season 16, where Robertson was seen as the villain by many fans. The pair split while the show was airing, got engaged after the finale, then split for good in 2012. In 2013 Flajnik denied rumors that he was dating recently separated reality show star (and Kardashian clan matriarch) Kris Jenner. Robertson is reportedly forging a career as a model. 
Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici met and fell in love on "The Bachelor" season 17. The couple married in January - on TV, of course.

(CNN) -- Juan Pablo Galavis, the latest star of ABC's "The Bachelor," has gone from stud to dud faster than he could hand out his final rose.
The former pro soccer player and first Latino "Bachelor" in series history was initially adored by the show's fan base, who saw Juan Pablo, 32, as a sweet, romantic single father searching for "everlasting love." His appearance on the 18th season of "The Bachelor," which debuted in January, was so hyped that ABC dubbed the month "Juan-uary" in his honor.
But even before Monday night's season finale and surprising "After the Final Rose" post-finale special, Juan Pablo was being called "the worst 'Bachelor' ever" -- which is saying a lot, because this franchise has had some doozies. (See: Womack, Brad.)
Bachelor: I really like you, but ... So how did Juan Pablo pull off such a rapid downfall? In six easy steps:
1. Made controversial comments about marriage and sexuality
By the third episode, Juan Pablo was already losing viewers. The reality star, who'd previously appeared on ABC's "The Bachelorette," was asked at a network party whether he thought it would be "good at some point to have a gay or bisexual bachelor."
Juan Pablo then gave a long response that included statements like, "I don't think it is a good example for kids to watch that on TV," and, "There's this thing about gay people. ... They're more pervert in a sense." We should note that Juan Pablo, who's lived in Venezuela, does have a language barrier, and when he apologized for offending anyone he said that he'd chosen the wrong words.
Whether his true meaning was lost in translation or not, the comments left a cloud over the rest of the season.
2. Caused one woman to accuse him of being a 'narcissist' and an 'a***ole'
After the scandal over his views on sexuality, Juan Pablo plowed ahead through his options on "The Bachelor." By the time he narrowed the 27 women vying to be his next bride to the final few, at least one of the contestants, Andi Dorfman, couldn't stand him.
After spending time in "the fantasy suite" with Juan Pablo, Dorfman said she "could not wait" to get out of the show. "I saw a side to him that I didn't really like," she said during that episode. "There's a difference between being honest and being an a***ole."
Later, Dorfman explained that she was "turned off" by him and his "borderline narcissistic" perspective.
Watching the ambivalence some of the contestants developed for Juan Pablo -- including from Sharleen, another contestant who decided that he wasn't what she was looking for in a mate -- didn't help the athlete win any "best 'Bachelor'" awards.
3. Caused another woman to cry
His interactions with the women on the show only went downhill, as one of the final two ladies, Clare, accused Juan Pablo of saying an overtly sexual comment to her when the cameras stopped rolling during a helicopter ride.
"As the helicopter's landing, we have a rare moment together with no cameras, nobody there with us and Juan Pablo leaned over and whispered something to me," Clare said. "He chose to tell me something that no woman wants to hear. It was insulting, it was offensive and it just made me feel awful."
To make matters worse, Clare is also the same woman who broke down in tears after Juan Pablo told her he regretted a late-night swim session with her. Although she made it into the final two, Juan Pablo didn't propose to Clare -- and then commented aloud how glad he was that he didn't.
4. Didn't propose during the final show
We already know what happened to Clare, but the other final woman, Nikki, "won" this season only by a technicality. Juan Pablo picked out an engagement ring but then refused to put it on her finger because he wasn't "100% sure" he wanted to propose. (The ring is now reportedly with "Bachelor" producers.)
5. Refused to say the 'L' word
Similarly, Juan Pablo was just as evasive about his relationship with Nikki on Monday's "After the Final Rose" special. When "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison asked him directly whether he was in love with Nikki, Juan Pablo replied, "I'm not going to answer that question."
His potential future fiance, at least, isn't bothered by his inability to express his devotion verbally. "It's not that he doesn't tell me -- it's like in his actions," Nikki said. "I know that he does (love me). I know that he cares about me a lot."
Viewers at home don't know that, though. As TV Without Pity put it, "Congrats to #TheBachelor for the most horrifically strange and uncomfortable #AfterTheFinalRose in franchise history."
6. Got celebrities to hate him
"OMG i want to stab this narcissistic idiot... PAINNNNNNN," Kirstie Alley tweeted on Monday. "I HATE THIS A***OLE!!! He is a jerk!!!! STRAIGHT UP!!"
Kristin Chenoweth agreed, chiming in, "Isn't he a disappointment?"
To "Bachelor" fans, apparently so.
